Airtel in IT outsourcing pact with IBM, TCS, Tech Mahindra

Telecom operator Bharti Airtel has renewed its IT outsourcing contract with IBM, but this time the deal will be jointly managed by TCS and Tech Mahindra.

According to media reports, IBM will receive $500 mn, spread over the next five years.

IT vendorAirtel pioneered the IT outsourcing in India in 2004 and showed how it can be done cost effectively to the global telecom markets.
